Composers Showcase – Angel Of Arkansas

This concert-style presentation is an exclusive first look “sneak peek” at the newest Musical Theatre creation of Richard Oberacker and Rob Taylor (of the Tony-Award winning musical “Bandstand”). Inspired by the remarkable real-life experiences of Ruth Corker Burks, a single mother in 1986 rural Arkansas who was transformed into a one-woman hospice, health advocate, political activist, and undertaker to thousands of young men at the height of the AIDS crisis, “Angel of Arkansas” features a 6-piece live band and an all-star cast led by Broadway’s Ruby Lewis, Brent Barrett and Noah Rivera, along with Vegas Theatre and Musical icons, including Paul Johnson, Daz Weller, Chris Lash, Annette Verdolino and more.
The concert will be followed by a gala reception to meet the performers and creative team. Email [email protected] to RSVP for reception.
Proceeds benefit The Composers Showcase, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing a platform for original music, scholarship, and financial assistance to the Las Vegas Entertainment Community.

PARKING INFO: Parking is available underneath Neonopolis from 4th street and Fremont, the ramp is on the right side of the street just past Denny’s. Park on level P2. Once parked, take the parking elevator from the parking garage up to the 3rd floor. Notoriety’s doors are straight ahead once you come off of the elevator.
